Navistar was ranked as the world’s forty-fourth largest motor vehicle manufacturer in the year 2009. Navistar manufactured 65,364 motor vehicles, which was about four thousand fewer vehicles than GAZ manufactured in that same year. Navistar mainly manufactures heavy commercial vehicles, not cars or light commercial vehicles or even heavy buses.

Ford was the world’s fourth largest motor vehicle manufacturer in the year 2009. Ford manufactured 4,685,394 motor vehicles, which was about 1.5 million fewer vehicles than Volkswagen manufactured in the same year. Almost three million of Ford’s motor vehicles were cars. About one million of their motor vehicles were light commercial vehicles, and the rest were all considered heavy commercial vehicles.
